In 1961, Paul Anderson climbed on a bike and rode to Boys Town in Omaha, Nebraska from Vidalia, Georgia. His wife, Glenda, followed in a van with a giant banner that read “the World’s Strongest Man.” In this way, Paul and Glenda began spreading the word about their desire to start the Paul Anderson Youth Home. It was on this ride that S. Truett Cathy, owner and founder of Chick-fil-A, first met Paul and Glenda and became our very first contributor. Fifty years later, we ride again to Boys Town. We are riding to celebrate the fifty-year legacy of that legendary ride and to spread the word: now begins the next 50 years of strength at the PAYH.
